Caregiver Stories
Carrie Coover
RN, 3M
I am a full-time charge nurse and shift manager at Midwest Regional, responsible for assisting with all patients on my floor.
I’ve been at Midwest for nine years and I still love to come to work every day. The nurses I work with make my job easy because they’ve been on our staff for years and we all get along so well. Working together as a team, we look out for each other’s well being, which makes our job environment great. To put it simply, we are a family.
Both nurses and doctors always make sure patients at Midwest are a priority – they’re willing to try new medicines or new procedures in order to put their patients first and make them more comfortable.
Our staff really cares about our patients. We have patients coming back to Midwest over and over – for congestive heart failure or other problems. Because of that, we really get to know our patients – as individuals as opposed to a person with a disease – and they get to know us.
